Sinclair Law Offices Opposes the H.R. 980 OHV
Melbourne, FL – Attorney Brad Sinclair, of Sinclair Law Offices, opposes the H.R. 980 (The Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act), which prohibits off-highway vehicles (OHV), such as dirt bikes and four-wheelers, use on over acres of land.
“Congress continues pressing to passage more Wilderness Bills that would take away additional OHV trails enjoyed responsibly,” says Sinclair. “Currently the states affected include Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.”
On May 5, 2009 The Chairman of the U.S. House Committee of Natural Resources will schedule a hearing to consider H.R. 980. The Legislation was introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY). If passed, it will designate 24 million acres as Wilderness components of the National Wilderness Preservation System. This Wilderness designation will make the land off-limits to off-highway riders.
