I am back safe and sound from Biketoberfest. Weather was great this year, a little on the warm side but for all you northerners, I am sure it was perfect. Saw some cool racing at the track and was able to navigate my way downtown a couple of times. Looking at all the bikes got me thinking about how many bikes are stolen during this event. So here are a few prevention tips to slow theft down a bit.
- Lock your Ignition
- Lock your rear wheel
- Cover your bike so you aren’t drawing a lot of attention (I guess at Biketoberfest everyone is trying to draw attention)
- Use a chain
- Use an alarm
- Don’t store anything valuable on bike
I realize some of these things aren’t reasonable at Biketoberfest but sure doesn’t hurt to think about them. That’s all for now.
